Put into practice these eight basic principles of health and get a new start on life.
Nutrition--Eat a well-balanced diet of healthy foods including grains, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Start the day with a good, substantial breakfast. Have a good lunch also, but go light on supper. Avoid eating between meals.
Exercise--Get plenty of exercise, preferably outdoors.
Water--Drink lots of water, more than just when you a thirsty. Keep your urine looking pale.
Sunshine--Without overdoing it, get out in the sun. Even brief periods of
sunshine on exposed parts of your body will increase your vitamin D level.
Temperance--Avoid completely anything harmful (alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, etc.), and eat in moderation those foods which are beneficial.
Air--Get plenty of fresh air, preferably in the outdoors. When indoors, make
sure the houses ventilated. Leave a bedroom window open when you sleep.
Rest--Get an adequate night's sleep. Also, obey God's commandment
(Exodus 20: 8-11) by taking the seventh day of the week off from work.
Trust--Put your trust in God. He loves you more than you can comprehend.
Read the Bible, which is full of God's promises, including the promise of the
creation of a new earth where there will be no more suffering, sorrow, or death (Revelation 21:1-4).
Did you know that the original diet was a vegetarian diet? That's right. Check it out in the first chapter of the Bible (Genesis 1:29). This helps explain why vegetarians have less cancer and heart disease than the rest of the population and why vegetarians live longer.
